To say this baby shower was literally years in the making is not an exaggeration. Carly and I have been best friends since high school, so we've had years of dreaming and multiple Pinterest boards about our future baby showers. So when her and Michael told me they were pregnant last year I immediately went in to planning mode (after crying happy tears for a solid hour first).
With a Spring due date, Carly knew she wanted a bright and fun shower which meant florals were a huge priority. We were so happy with the array of colors from Wild and Behold, and to make them pop even more we opted for blue linens to give Second Space's neutral warehouse even more contrast. Guests were invited to a brunch shower with breakfast burritos from Ham 'n Scram, an array of goodies from Porto's, and unlimited lattes from Bevel's coffee cart. For dessert Hapa Cupcakes made a beautiful two tiered cake that was half snickerdoodle and half chocolate. Being a co-ed shower, Carly and Michael wanted a relaxed event that focused more on mingling that traditional games. Instead guests were able to write advice and prayer cards and participate in a pacifier hunt. Their laidback brunch was the perfect reflection of them, and I know everyone had a blast. We were so happy to shower them with love and support, and I'm so excited to meet Baby soon. With love, Tita Lizel.
